FRED "BUTCH" ALANIS, Executive Vice President of Development, LGI Development
Fred “Butch” Alanis entered the land business in 1995 with Blue Green Corporation. He was recruited as a salesman and distinguished himself as the top producer for two years in a row. He was hired by LGI in 1998 to work as a sales representative on Brazos Lakes - a major acreage community south of Houston, which sold out in twenty-three months.
Prior to working in the land business, Mr. Alanis was a project and general manager for multi-national engineering firms TRW and International Technologies where he oversaw $200 million worth of Army Corps’ of Engineers projects.
Butch's extensive fifteen year career in the engineering and land construction industry would ultimately lead him to LGI Development.
Butch is now in charge of all infrastructure construction for LGI Land and LGI Homes and as such is charged with the job of consistently building quality products that exceed regulatory specifications and customers' expectations. Mr. Alanis took this as a strong mandate to redouble his efforts in the area of quality control and drew up the "QA/QC" (Quality Assessment/Quality Control) guidelines that are of paramount importance in the overall construction process. No construction work will be done without QA/QC procedures in place. |
