DANIEL TROMBLEY, Chief Financial Officer, LGI Development
Mr. Trombley has over 17 years of accounting and finance experience, in both public and private settings, and specifically 12 years in retail land accounting. Mr. Trombley is responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting-finance activities of the land division, production housing division as well as the mortgage company.
Mr. Trombley graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (f/k/a North Adams State College) Magna Cum Laude in 1990. After graduation he began his career working for a local public accounting practice – Adelson & Company, CPA’s. In 1991 due to an opportunity that presented itself he relocated to Florida. Mr. Trombley lived in Florida from 1991 to 1994 where he worked for a hard drive manufacturer as an accounting manager, and a light industrial staffing company, both private companies. In 1994 Mr. Trombley also earned his CPA license. In 1994 he returned to Massachusetts where he was quickly hired back at Adelson & Company until he was recruited in mid-1995 to work for Inland Management Corporation, a private real estate company owned by Harry Patten and his son Michael Patten.
Mr. Trombley would be at Inland Management Corporation for the next 10 years working in the capacity of Controller and Treasurer. His responsibilities included oversight of the accounting department, preparation of monthly financials and consolidations, cash management, banking relations, and projections. At the time of Mr. Trombley’s departure he was responsible for the entire accounting function of a 200+ Million dollar operation.
In 1995 Mr. Trombley, while working for Inland, met Mr. Lipar and became very impressed with his passion and drive for success. In 1996 Mr. Trombley started to handle all of Mr. Lipar’s accounting and banking needs. In 2004 when Mr. Lipar decided to go on his own Mr. Trombley joined the LGI team full-time. Today, Mr. Trombley serves as the Chief Financial Officer overseeing all accounting and banking needs for LGI Development, LGI Land and LGI Homes.
