ERIC LIPAR, Chief Executive Officer, LGI Homes

Eric Lipar is chief executive officer of LGI Homes.  He became the LGI Homes’ CEO in 2009, succeeding the Company’s founder and current chairman of the board, Tom Lipar.

Mr. Lipar was promoted to President of LGI Homes and LGI Development in 2003, and managed all aspects of the company including sales, operations and marketing. Under Mr. Lipar’s leadership LGI Homes has become one of the fastest growing homebuilders in the United States.  Most recently ranked #68 by Builder Magazine’s Builder 100 list, LGI Homes was recognized as the only builder to increase closings in the United States for the last three consecutive years.  Mr. Lipar has been featured in trade publications such as Builder, Big Builder, Housing Giants and more and is recognized as a leader in the homebuilding industry.

Prior to his position as President, Mr. Lipar began his career in the real estate business with Patten Corporation, a publicly traded land-development company, in 1993. He worked diligently in the Dallas market for over three years, earning recognition as a national “Top-10” producer before joining LGI.  Mr. Lipar joined LGI Development in 1996 where he excelled in sales and served as manager of Financial Affairs and Project Manager until his promotion to President of LGI Homes and LGI Development in 2003.

Mr. Lipar received his degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Sciences from Central Michigan University.
